With just three weeks left in the quarter, it’s crunch time. The pressure is on. Targets need to be hit. Deals need to be closed. And this is where your mindset can make or break your results. The final stretch is never about adding complexity—it’s about focusing on what works.
Over the last two decades in sales, I’ve learned that success at this stage of the game doesn’t come from tactics. It comes from how you think. Here are three powerful mindsets I rely on—and a bonus reminder to keep your engine running strong.
...but only if you’re on the pitch
When time is tight, there’s still plenty of room for opportunity. I’ve seen clients make five figures in a matter of days because they stayed on the pitch when others clocked out early. But here's the fine print: that asterisk on "possible" means you must be active to unlock the potential.
Visualising your wins is important. Motivation is helpful. But nothing replaces doing the work. At this point in the quarter, don’t overthink. Don’t spend hours planning the perfect play. Send the message. Book the call. Show up.
Results come from action, not intentions.
One of my clients messaged me last week: “3k.” It was a simple note—but behind it was a powerful reminder. She closed another deal after weeks of consistent effort. She didn’t go viral. She didn’t reinvent her offer. She just kept showing up.
And the payoff? Tens of thousands in revenue from a standing start.
So ask yourself—are you still on the pitch?
No tricks. No trends. Just what works.
The second mindset is about doing what works—consistently. In the final weeks of a quarter, the temptation is to switch things up, add layers, or chase new tools. Don’t.
You don’t need more complexity—you need fewer interruptions and sharper focus. The basics might be boring, but they’re what get the job done.
Every year for the past ten years, I’ve outperformed my previous year in business. And no, it wasn’t because of the latest hack or algorithm tweak. It was because I stuck with what worked. I did the reps, I tracked the numbers, I kept my head down and executed the fundamentals.
That’s what winning looks like.
...and it’s not luck—it’s mindset
The third mindset is growth. Not vague “personal development” but measurable, year-over-year improvement. My mantra is simple: the A-player version of me this year would blow away last year’s version.
If you don’t believe you’re better now than you were 12 months ago, what’s the point?
It doesn’t mean you didn’t make mistakes. It doesn’t mean it was all smooth sailing. But it means you stayed in the game, learned, adapted, and kept moving forward.
Now it’s time to put that growth to use and finish what you started.
For a decade, I’ve used this mindset to push my boundaries. Whether it’s refining offers, scaling systems, or managing energy better—I always find a way to upgrade. And every year, the gains compound.
So, what will your Q3 story be?
Your performance starts with your state
You are the system. If the system’s broken, the output suffers. If you’re tired, anxious, or under-fueled, you can’t show up as your best self. That’s why mindset #4 is a reminder: look after the engine.
One of my coaching clients was stuck in a productivity slump. We didn’t overhaul her strategy—we fixed her sleep, gave her breaks, and brought in routines that supported recovery. Within days, her focus returned, her output increased, and she started closing again.
You don’t need to grind harder—you need to operate smarter.
These aren’t luxuries. They’re the fuel.
These next few weeks are everything. So ask yourself:
You’ve got three weeks left. That’s 15 working days. It’s enough time to make magic happen—if you’re on the pitch, grounded in fundamentals, committed to growth, and treating your body and mind as your #1 asset.
Finish strong. Let’s go.
