Have you ever found yourself sitting in a networking event, listening to a speaker and feeling utterly uninspired? I have. In fact, I got so bored at so many networking events that I decided to do something about it. I had a choice: stop going to events or build my own with speakers I actually wanted to hear from. I chose the latter—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Back in August 2018, I launched Entrepreneur Business Live in London. The idea was simple: curate events with speakers I admired, bring together connections I’d made on LinkedIn and finally meet them in real life, and practice my own speaking skills. But I didn’t expect it to evolve into something much bigger than me.
When I launched the first Entrepreneur Business Live, I decided to donate the ticket revenue to a local charity. This small act of giving sparked something powerful. Suddenly, we weren’t just learning and networking—we were helping others too. The events became about more than personal growth; they became about purpose.
As Entrepreneur Business Live began expanding to cities like San Francisco, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Melbourne, and beyond, the same dynamic repeated: entrepreneurs and professionals showed up not just to network, but to make an impact together. We built communities grounded in learning, empathy, and contribution.
Now, 30 events later, we’ve raised thousands of dollars for charities worldwide—and every penny of that is because this community shows up and gives generously.
So why does giving back matter in a business setting? Because it keeps us human. It reminds us that success isn’t just about the next sale or the next big client. It’s about impact. It’s about using our platforms and skills to do good.
And perhaps most surprisingly, it feels incredible. There’s something about being surrounded by people who care—about business and about the world—that lifts your energy and renews your purpose.
We’re now gearing up for our 31st event—this time in the vibrant city of Barcelona. It’s going to be a special one, supporting a brilliant charity partner: the Barcelona Women’s Network. And we’d love for you to join us.
Entrepreneur Business Live isn’t your average networking event. It’s part mastermind, part meet-up, and part movement. You’ll hear from world-class speakers who are actually walking the walk. You’ll connect with people who share your drive to grow and give back. And most of all, you’ll walk away inspired.
Who knows? Maybe you’ll even walk away with the spark to start your own initiative.
If you’re in or near Barcelona, now’s the time. We’ve only got about 20 seats left, so book quickly if you want to join us. You’ll find the link to reserve your ticket in the comments below.
And if you can’t attend in person, you can still support our cause by making a donation—again, link in the comments. Every euro makes a difference.
Starting Entrepreneur Business Live has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life. It’s taught me that when you bring the right people together and give them a space to grow and give back, magic happens. Real connections are made. Real change occurs.
So here’s my challenge to you: if you’re tired of the same old events, do something about it. Whether that’s joining ours, supporting a cause, or launching your own community-focused initiative, take action. The world doesn’t need more passive attendees. It needs more leaders.
See you in Barcelona.
