Have you ever wondered how you can use your business to make a difference in the world? How you can leverage your platform to not only benefit yourself but also those less fortunate? If so, you're not alone. I've been on this journey myself, and I'm excited to share my experiences and insights with you.
Next week, I'll be in Amsterdam, about to announce how much money we've raised for Women Win, a charity that empowers women and girls through sport. But before I get to that, let me take you back to where it all started.
It was 2018, and I was about to run my first event. I remember feeling a sense of unease about the idea of hosting an event and pocketing all the profits myself. It just didn't sit right with me. I felt that I had a responsibility to use my platform for good, to make a positive impact beyond just my business.
That discomfort was the catalyst for change. I decided to use my events as a platform to raise funds for local charities. It was a simple idea, but one that had the potential to make a significant difference.
Fast forward five years, and with the help of our community, we've hosted 33 international networking events and raised tens of thousands of dollars for local charities around the world. And we've done this while learning from each other and building meaningful connections.
I'm incredibly grateful for the support we've received. It's a testament to the power of community and the impact we can have when we come together for a common cause. It's proof that business and philanthropy can go hand in hand.
And it's not just about the money we've raised. It's about the awareness we've raised, the conversations we've started, and the lives we've touched. That's the real impact.
Next week, we're hosting Entrepreneur Business Live Amsterdam, and I invite you to join us. Whether you're there in person or tuning in via livestream, your presence matters. Your support matters.
We're raising funds for Women Win, a charity that empowers women and girls through sport. As a father to two daughters, this cause is close to my heart. I believe in the power of sport to build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. And I believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to play, to learn, and to grow.
So, I encourage you to consider donating to Women Win. Your contribution can make a real difference in the lives of women and girls around the world.
As you read this, I invite you to reflect on your own impact. How can you use your platform, your business, your skills to help others? How can you extend your impact beyond just your customers?
Remember, it's not just about what we can gain, but what we can give. And when we give, we not only make a difference in the lives of others, but we also enrich our own lives in the process.
So, let's continue this journey together. Let's continue to use our platforms for good. Let's continue to make a difference. Because together, we can create a world where everyone wins.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. How are you using your business to make a difference? What causes are close to your heart? Share your stories and insights in the comments below. Let's learn from each other and inspire each other to do more.
And remember, no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Every little bit counts. So, let's start today. Let's make a difference, one act at a time.
Finally, I want to say thank you. Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for your support. And thank you for being awesome. Together, we're making a difference. And that's something to be proud of.
So, here's to making an impact. Here's to giving back. And here's to a future where everyone wins.
